At Manna Tresses, we believe hair is more than beauty—it’s stewardship. When you understand your hair and extensions, you extend their life, preserve their quality, and protect your crown. This page exists to equip you with the knowledge needed to care for your hair with intention, confidence, and excellence.

Understanding Your Extensions

Manna Tresses products are made from 100% premium human hair, meaning they behave like natural hair because they are natural hair. This allows for styling versatility—curling, straightening, coloring—but it also requires proper care. Human hair extensions thrive when treated with the same patience and consistency you would give your own.

Unlike synthetic hair, human hair does not regenerate oils from the scalp. Moisture, balance, and gentle handling are essential to maintaining softness, shine, and longevity.

Frontal Closures: What You Need to Know

A frontal closure is designed to create a realistic hairline and allow for flexible parting. Because frontals sit at the most visible and delicate area of your install, they require special attention.

Key truths about frontals:

  • Over-plucking weakens the lace and shortens lifespan

  • Excessive glue or harsh removal causes irreversible damage

  • Bleaching knots must be done carefully to avoid shedding

  • Proper melt techniques protect both the lace and your skin

When installed and removed correctly, a frontal closure can be reused multiple times and still maintain its integrity.

Daily Care & Maintenance

Consistency is the secret to longevity.

Daily or regular care should include:

  • Light moisturizing with water-based or silicone-free products

  • Gentle detangling starting from the ends and working upward

  • Avoiding excessive friction from clothing, scarves, or rough fabrics

At night, always protect your hair using a silk or satin bonnet, scarf, or pillowcase. Cotton absorbs moisture and causes friction, leading to dryness and tangling.

Washing & Conditioning

Clean hair is healthy hair—but overwashing can be just as harmful as neglect.

Best practices:

  • Wash every 1–2 weeks depending on product buildup

  • Use sulfate-free shampoos to preserve moisture

  • Always follow with a deep conditioner or mask

  • Allow hair to air dry when possible, or use low heat

Never scrub lace aggressively. Pat gently and allow it to dry naturally to preserve its structure.

Heat & Styling Education

Heat is a tool—not a requirement.

While Manna Tresses hair can handle heat styling, excessive heat will reduce longevity over time.

Protect your investment by:

  • Always using a heat protectant

  • Keeping tools below 400°F

  • Alternating between heat styles and natural textures

  • Avoiding repeated passes over the same section

Remember: luxury hair doesn’t need daily heat to look good.
